Ulcicheck DSR Capsule

[Pantoprazole 40 mg + Domperidone 30 mg SR]
Ulcicheck DSR combines Pantoprazole, a proton pump inhibitor, with Domperidone SR, a prokinetic agent, offering comprehensive relief from acid-related gastrointestinal disorders including acid dyspepsia and ulcer-associated symptoms.

Mechanism of Action:

  • Pantoprazole: Inhibits the H⁺/K⁺ ATPase enzyme in gastric parietal cells, thereby suppressing gastric acid secretion.
  • Domperidone: A dopamine D2 receptor antagonist that enhances gastrointestinal motility and relieves nausea and vomiting by acting on the chemoreceptor trigger zone and intestines.

Indications:

  • Drug-, food- and alcohol-induced acid dyspepsia
  • Zollinger-Ellison Syndrome
  • H. pylori-induced acid dyspepsia
  • Dyspepsia due to prolonged bed rest
  • Ulcer dyspepsia
  • Hiatus hernia
  • GERD (Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease)

Precautions:

  • Avoid spicy/junk food
  • Do not lie down immediately post meals
  • Avoid alcohol and smoking
  • Increase fiber and green leafy vegetables in the diet

Drug Interactions:

  • Warfarin
  • Ketoconazole
  • Anti-HIV drugs (Atazanavir, Nelfinavir)
  • Iron supplements
  • Ampicillin
  • Methotrexate

Contraindications:

  • Known hypersensitivity to Pantoprazole or Domperidone
  • Pregnancy and lactation
  • Patients with:
  • C. difficile-induced colitis
  • Liver dysfunction
  • Bone fractures
  • Vitamin B12 deficiency (pernicious anemia)
  • Hypomagnesemia

Warnings:

Discontinue use if experiencing watery diarrhea, persistent fever, or unexplained stomach pain

Side Effects:

Diarrhea, flatulence, nausea, vomiting Dizziness, headache, abdominal pain

Dosage and Administration:

  • One capsule daily, 1 hour before breakfast, or as directed by the Physician
  • Sustained-release formulation of Domperidone ensures once-daily convenience
